UK 1 track single features the album version of the title track. Daniel Powter's 'Bad Day' was recently named as the UK's most played single from the past five years. Now he returns with the single 'Next Plane Home' that will be released on September 8th by Warner Bros. Records. Produced by Linda Perry (James Blunt, Gwen Stefani, Christina Aguilera),'Next Plane Home' is every bit as immediately infectious as 'Bad Day' was. The single is the first to be taken from his second album, 'Under The Radar', that follows on September 15th. 'Under The Radar' is a remarkably consistent collection of songs that really emphasises how Powter's rich, melodious songwriting has progressed since his debut album. Full of classic pop such as the opening piano-led duo of 'Best of Me' and 'Not Coming Back', 'Under The Radar' also highlights the breezy acoustic guitars of 'Fly Away' and the darker tones of 'Am I Still The One?', a track that features a rare vocal contribution from Perry. "As a singer-songwriter, I have a responsibility to communicate and connect with people," Powter says, "and for me, melody speaks louder than words so that's where I go with things, but I think a lot of people will relate to the lyrics. I just can't wait for people to hear these new songs. I'm hungry to get back out on the road because I have this amazing, honest record to back me up." Daniel Powter's self-titled debut album became a global phenomenon with almost 3-million sales accumulated. 'Bad Day' became an even bigger hit in the States as it embarked upon a five-week run at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 and Powter also earned both a Grammy nomination (for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance) and a Brit award nomination (for International Breakthrough Act).
