London-based five-piece The Ryes release their debut single 'How Come Loretta' on 11 August 2008 through 14th Floor Records. The infectiously addictive single comes from their forthcoming new album Square Pegs, which was recorded with Jay Reynolds (Just Jack, Shack) and will be released later this year. The Ryes have fast become one of the most hotly-tipped bands in Britain, an accolade which is anchored in their acclaimed electric live shows. Having already played with Scouting For Girls, Ben's Brother and The Holloways before the release of their debut single; The Ryes are now well-established in the live arena and were recently voted Channel 4's 'Best Live Band'. The Ryes have also proved a hit on radio having been triumphant in Virgin Radio's 'Face Off' competition, in which they won the public vote for ten consecutive weeks booting off strong contest from The Maccabees. With an album packed full of upbeat hooks and more than hummable choruses, The Ryes, who have been playing together for three years, look set to be the sound of summer 2008.
