Dunkirk is one of the documentary films about war, which has an interesting effect on me. From three perspectives of land, sea and air, the film pans across the incident that the Anglo-French Allied Forces were trapped by Germans in Dunkirk during World War Ⅱ, showing us how desperated Anglo-French soldiers came home alive during the war. The beginning of the movie is a few British soldiers were walking along the empty streets in a deathly silence, all of a sudden a gunshot broke the silence then the overwhelming gunfire rang out. They utilized all kinds of objects around as shelters to protect themselves from being hit, however, the war was so cruel that there was only one person arrived at the stronghold of the Allies. Someone said to the survivor "Good luck! " Luck is really important in such thick of bullets indeed. What impresses me most in the film is the civilian boat leaving for Dunkirk in order to save soldiers. A father, his son and a young man actively cooperated with the army's requisition to put out to sea for purpose of rescuing soldiers. It seemed dangerous, even more dangerous in real practice. The son hesitated from the start because he didn’t want to die. Confronting with the army's strong guns, they were fragile. Inattentively they would be buried in the sea. But the father with gray hair believed that they could do it. If people lose country, they will lose their home certainly. The first person they saved is a pilot during the way, although a regrettable thing happened at the same time. But on behalf of protecting their common homeland, they were still on the same boat. I was also moved by the second pilot who was saved. When he was rescued, the first words were: "Good afternoon." How light words they were! These people were all heroes of the country. Finally the last, countless civilian boats became the hope for the trapped soldiers... Hope for world peace, pray for world peace.
