Watched All the Money in the World last Friday
I felt so disgusted that the grandfather was so stingy that he'd choose money over his grandson. I think he deserved being lonely and addled at the end. I would feel sorry for him if not for the fact that he brought it onto himself. And the kid seems quite resourceful, though he got captured again...
I see why Christopher Plummer and Michelle Williams each got a nom. The acting was great. And the screenwriter managed to keep the pacing fast and yeah, Ridley Scott's skills shone through. He really is and old hand at it.
Though I don't think Scott reshot the scenes because of a sense of morality, but because Spacey was just really bad press. And Wahlberg, man, I was ready to boycott him, but he or his manager was smart enough to donate it all, and to Time's Up, too.
