Russell 的关注点永远在Doctor身上，what would the Doctor do? what would the Doctor choose?
他可以在知道历史的情况下，残酷地选择毁灭一个美丽的庞贝去保护整个地球；然后又回头救下他唯一能救的一家四口；
他也可以在知道未来的情况下，勇敢地选择在火星基地转身救下他认为应该牺牲的Captain Brooke，却想不到她不领情地选择的自杀，out of shame。
He has become a better person, after the time war, because of the humanities which constantly strike him from his companions;
He also nearly died because of humanity, on a midnight train, facing a creature that was only learning his words.
He never quite understood the humanity, 因为他不是人类, never was one of us.

Well, thanks to the human race, we got him on the right side.
In return, we always need our hero to defeat enemies and solve problems. 也许在剧情中没多少人知道这位英雄，但作为旁观者的我们，他的形象已不可泯灭。
然而当一切尘埃落定，他还是一个人。
他一度有那么多的朋友和伙伴并肩作战，但到了最后连Master都不愿为他重生，那么孤独。
于是乎DT最后的最后离开的那个场景是如此悲壮，萦绕至今。
Steven Moffat对Doctor有着完全不同的Idea。他笔下的Doctor，
Silly, clever, clumsy, fascinated about new explorations and always makes it up as he goes along.
Clara说过: “we had enough warriors, any old idiot can be a hero....(Now) be a doctor.”
Moffat觉得the Doctor不该是个英雄，他只是 an old man who likes expeditions, 一个富有智慧的老顽童。
他经常说: This is new. 然后开心得像个孩子。
虽然他仍旧不是人类，经常对人类的行为表示不解。
比如为什么Amy and Rory总是在接吻，或是为什么人们不吃Fish finger and custard，或是为什么裸体是不礼貌的。
但是他又像是茫茫人海中的一份子，比任何人都明白humanity的意义。比任何人都明白语言的力量。
他很少再用那个老方法：give you a choice, if not accepted, then destroy.
Instead, he always talks, lies, negotiates and gives brilliant speeches.
他明白最简单父爱能战胜孩子在衣橱里的恐惧；
他明白火星大元帅的荣誉和尊严能展现对人类的仁慈；
他明白只有个人的偏见导致社会对化学分身的不平等和虐待。
他也明白最后的宽慰虽然救不了梵高的性命，但可以给他带来希望。
这一次他不再是那个救世主，解决问题的也不一定是他。
但他还是可以用他的名声吓跑半个宇宙，然后又可以毫不犹豫地删除自己在宇宙中的存在。
He still has the power and wisdom, 总是能随机应变。可以打落重力球逃脱天使的围困，在垃圾场里重建一个TARDIS，亦或是用自己的囚笼恢复宇宙 from Big Bang two。
Now he might just know how to use them better.
For him, everything and everyone is equally important for the past 1200 years.

However, he sometimes got carried away, like us all.
And River is always there.
当他达到胜利的至高点的时候，是River 警告他或许一半的宇宙可能感激你的贡献和拯救，但剩下的另一半只会把他当成魔鬼和死敌。Destroy his name and everything he ever worked for.

而当他一个人秘密地奔赴死亡时，还是River 告诉他， 他不是孤孤单单一个人，他也可以拥有整个宇宙的帮助和关心, and especially the love from her.
“I can't let you die, without knowing you are loved. By so many, and so much. ”
