Initiate and manage Lead Generation strategies to identify new opportunities to sales team. Create marketing collateral and sales tool kits, including media kits, decks, sales sheets, proposal templates, lead generation email, case studies and more. Maintain a deep understanding of the advertising & sponsorship and research marketplace. Manage and implement client advertorial projects. Brand marketing and PR (20%) Ensure regular contact with trade media to keep them updated on Group news and developments. Manage ad marketing and brand budget for China. Manage and enhance Chinese microsite, eDMs and weibos. Ensure brand consistency to the Economist Group’s highest standard. Develop and maintain beneficial relationships with PR partners, mailing house, list brokers, chambers of commerce, business associations and key media. Overall Data management Grow database in China, particularly focused on Chinese domestic companies. Briefing and coordinating supervision of temporary staff/client relations executive on telemarketing; data entry of all returned mail; conference delegates; enquiries, speakers; sponsors and prospects; change of address; codes and fields. Competitor monitoring Prepare competitor updates for marketing, conference and sponsorship teams. Performance measures Grow database in China, particularly focused on Chinese domestic companies. Perform half year customer segmentation analysis on database. Timely production of all promotional campaigns and literature as agreed in yearly plan and updated and reviewed in monthly status meetings with Managing Director and the sales team. Effective field sales marketing plan execution in China Media coverage of Economist articles, reports and surveys Skills and capabilities profile Education and training Tertiary marketing qualifications Previous work experience Minimum three years marketing experience preferably gained in the service sector industry.IT PC literacy - Word, Excel, Powerpoint, database managementLanguages Native level Chinese, excellent command of English (written and spoken) essential. Personal attributes and skills Proven ability to create and manage marketing campaigns including HTML promotions, PowerPoint presentations and sell sheets Ability to plan, drive and manage different projects simultaneously Willing and able to take on revenue responsibility Ability to juggle and meet deadlines, cope well under pressure Result driven, showing initiative and creativity Cross-cultural sensitivity, able to perform effectively in an international environment Attention to detail, analytical, organised, initiative and be a good team player Knowledge and interest in China/global business issues and current affairs Excellent communication and negotiation skills Mail:yangjing.che@reachhr.com.cn
