Huxley depicted a world with the extreme emphasis on Community, Identity and Stability. In his world, materialism is everything, living the moment is the philosophy, monogamy is a sin and the concept of family values is merely a joke that can crack people up. This very much reminded me of the old slogans of the KMT during the civil war times that the once communism takes over, all your property and wives would be shared (共产共妻).

In this Utopian world, everyone knows their role and lower level people can be sacrificed, by systematic design and on purpose. My wildest guess is that the ultimate obedience of social orders and authority can be seen as a mockery of the socialism; yet the consumption-oriented fervent showed author's dissatisfaction towards capitalism.

Many non-believers of socialism and communism have taken this book as a big trumpet of evidence why we should not root for capitalist system over socialist system. If they are concentrating themselves too much on this facet, then they could not be more wrong. The book, from where I stand, very much stands against the big government, where everything is arranged and everyone is expendable. This is what everyone should be cautious about.

However, one could not deny the high efficiency of a big government, where society could run at its best speed and things could be allocated perfectly. But this could not be the reason the government becomes the invisible hand and intervenes everything.

For the record, I am not a libertard; but I am also not a supporter of an "everywhere Big Brother".
