Firstly, analyzing the title, I regard “mockingbird” as the symbol of innocence and justice, and in some ways, it stands for the Finch.

So this novel is about JUSTICE & EQUALITY. Atticus Finch, the father, was a lawyer. He defended for a negro who was accused of raping a white girl. In fact, he didn’t rape the girl at all, the girl’s father lied. This case brought a lot of trouble to the Finch, But Atticus kept helping the negro, and told his children that they were on the right side. In the end, nobody believed the negro and he died just because of his SKIN COLOR.

This story only reveals a small part of the inequality between the white and the black in America. It calls for our justice to protect the equality.
