What I'm talking about when I say I'm a runner

都说aerobic exercise was a powerful antidepressant,为何不试试呢?
正如作者所说:the way running unites our two most primal impulses: fear and pleasure. We run when we’re scared, we run when we’re ecstatic, we run away from our problems and run around for a good time. And when things look worst, we run the most

1. “When I’m out on a long run,” she continued, “the only thing in life that matters is finishing the run. For once, my brain isn’t going blehblehbleh all the time. Everything quiets down, and the only thing going on is pure flow. It’s just me and the movement and the motion. That’s what I love—just being a barbarian, running through the woods.” But I’d better be fearless.

2., Scott发现了ultraunner最厉害的武器:instead of cringing from fatigue, you embrace it. You refuse to let it go. You get to know it so well, you’re not afraid of it anymore. Brené Brown: The power of vulnerability的精髓不谋而合。 I have a black dog。作者把depression比做black dog,时不时的出来欺辱威吓压制主人,但anyway,我们总要学会牵着它的绳子, because every time he does, I handle him better. I get him more under control.” Once the Beast arrives, I knows what I have to deal with and can get down to work.

you had to become a strong person before you could become a strong runner.
