Shakespeare on Love and Lust 评价人数不足
读书笔记 introduction

Shakespeare’s conception of love doesn’t fit Ficino’s Platonic and neo-Platonic ideas, in which physical love is always transcended to something higher and more spiritual. Love in Shakespeare expresses itself in physical desire, and even at its most rapturous (as in Romeo and Juliet), never loses its sexual underpinnings.
