读书笔记 Denial: Why we miss seeing rhinos and don't get out of their way

The surgeon and writer Atul Gawande has written of the power of checklists for everything from airplane cockpits to skyscraper construction sites and operating rooms; in these high-stakes environments, where missing or dismissing key indications can be fatal, checklists are an essential tool for flagging problems and giving the whole team the authority to step in if it appears that something important is not receiving the attention it deserves. When an organization faces an impending crisis, whether the threat appears to be moving slowly or quickly, using a similar system can make it harder to deny the urgency of acting.
