3. Set-up (1-10)
All characters in A story introduced or hinted, plants, thesis, status quo
4. Catalyst (12)
Inciting incident, the very moment
5. Debate (12-25)
The last chance for the hero to doubt.
The debate session must ask a question of some kind to be answered in the story
6. Break into Two (25)
Into the new world (antithesis)
The hero must make the decision himself.
7. B Story (30)
It also carries the theme, usually in line with the A story, but new in scope.
8. Fun and Games (30-55)
The promise of the premise, the first try (positive)
9. Midpoint (55)
False peak/down, when the stakes are raised
10. Bad Guys Close In (55-75)
The forces against the hero tightens and there is no where to find help.
11. All is Lost (75)
The opposite of the mid-point, a false defeat, a big one, with the whiff of death
12. Dark Night of the Soul (75-85)
The darkness before the dawn
13. Break into Three (85)
Solution emerges, thesis+antithesis->synthesis, A and B stories merge into the solution.
14. Finale (85-110)
Lessons learned, problem solved completely, new world order in an emotionally satisfying way
15. Final Image (110)
The opposite of the opening image, the proof that it changes
