The Little Prince 读书笔记 1. 原句: “Well, I must endure the presence of two or three caterpillars if I wish to become acquainted with the butterflies.” 感想: As the saying goes, "No pains,no gains."But the former sentence full of metaphor and imagination is more delicate. 2. 原句: “I ought to have judged by deeds and not by words. ” 感想: We have plunged into the sleek words in daily life more often and made a belief. Perhaps we would regret if we understood others' real intention, but all the spilt milk could not be retrieved. To make matters worse, some people, just like me, judge objects by imagination instead of reason. Our imagination covers a magnificent mask on others' deeds and words. 3. 原句: “Then you shall judge yourself,” the king answered. “that is the most difficult thing of all. It is much more difficult to judge oneself than to judge others. 感想: The German philosopher, Immanurel Kant, exclaimed, “Freedom is self-discipline.”It will be more tricky once the thing concerns oneself. We need to know ourselves before we know others. Difficult as it is, we have known the problem at least. It will keep us out of conceit possibly. 4. 原句: “Why are you drinking?”demanded the little prince. “So that I may forget,” replied the tippler. “Forget what?” inquired the little prince, who already was sorry for him. “Forget that I am ashamed,” the tippler confessed, hanging his head. “Ashamed of what?” insisted the little prince, who wanted to help him. “Ashamed of drinking!” 感想: Hahahahahah……(ಥvಥ) 5. 原句: “I administer them,” replied the businessman. “I count them and recount them. It is difficult. But I am a man who is naturally interested in matters of consequence.” 感想: Here is a man who have thought that he owned all of the stars and counted them everyday. People often regard count money as the happiest thing. In fact, it is barely a monotonous job of accountant. Of course, spending money would be more exhilarating than counting them, but is so pity that we could not pay a dot of star for a loaf of bread, forever. 6. 原句: “I always want to rest,” said the lamplighter. For it is possible for a man to be faithful and lazy at the same time. 感想: This is a binary world. We live with truth and falsehood, hope and regret, moderation and appetite, etc.It might as well has no kindness or malignity, the significant thing is just a kind of choice. 7. 原句: When one wishes to play the wit, he sometimes wanders a little from the truth. 感想: The truth likes a silver lining in the cave, but the falsehood is not opposite to it. Even the falsehood spawns the truth sometimes. So, no matter of reality or falsity, they are neither true nor wrong. However, wit makes them more interesting. As for me, it is not important to keep away from truth because I have never touched it. By contrast, the wit often driven me to go through the dark cave. 8. 原句:Words are the source of misunderstandings. 感想:Silence is gold. But it also causes misunderstandings. Perhaps, misunderstanding is inevitable because we could not express all the ideas in our brain and others would not feel it. The exchange is nothing more than a sort of sympathy. Pointless as it is, one must say a lot and then stay silent. 9. 原句:But in herself alone she is more important than all the hundreds of you other roses: because it is she that I have watered
